Information about the unit
The focus of this unit will be on the knowledge and practical skills required to be a successful tutor / trainer within the sports sector. We’ll look at applying for jobs and the different types of skills. It will also be an opportunity to study the importance of developing good inter-personal skills. We’ll look at some videos of sports professionals discussing their day-to-day roles and responsibilities.
This is an opportunity for you to think about other staff members and every learner that you would be responsible for during your teaching sessions. You will also need to have a good understanding of the specification requirements for each course and the policies and procedures within your organisation. These will include Health and Safety policies and procedures which we’ll study in the final part of this unit.
