What are the specific responsibilities of a Physical Education (PE) teacher?


Physical Education teachers are responsible for teaching physical education and sports to students. These responsibilities include:

  • planning lessons and coaching sessions
  • presenting lessons
  • monitoring, recording, and evaluating students’ knowledge, skills, and performance.

Physical Education teachers must motivate and inspire students to ensure that they achieve their full potential. Teachers must also provide their students with the necessary knowledge and skills for a broad range of sports and physical activities.

These include activities that are suitable for different age groups and abilities. They must also show excellent leadership and communication skills and provide their students with detailed knowledge of the subject, including the human body.
